Designing for Disneyland goes beyond the park itself. It’s about the digital spaces that invite guests into the magic before they ever arrive.
As a Senior Product Designer for Hong Kong Disneyland’s 20th Anniversary, I led the experience design for both the Web and App, translating the celebration’s theme into a cohesive digital brand presence. It was an incredibly rewarding experience to bring the anniversary to life digitally while partnering closely with the Brand team and Hong Kong Marketing.

In 2025, Hong Kong Disneyland marks its 20th anniversary, and here’s how I worked with the Hong Kong team to celebrate and share the unforgettable experiences we create for our guests through the campaign page.
A newly designed 20th HKDL Web/App
Provide guests with a comprehensive guide to all activities and offering
Designing the HKDL 20th Anniversary website and app experience—a dedicated destination where guests can easily discover and stay informed about all anniversary events and experiences. The design incorporated a simplified color palette inspired by the 20th anniversary, while aligning closely with brand and design guidelines.

Introduced the new 20th Branding and styling for the global navigation, footer, and feature pages. In my role, I collaborated with the Brand team to define the color palette, patterns, textures, and illustrations, and designed core product experiences including global navigation, modals, reusable components, and key detail pages such as the Themed Finder pages.

We developed design frameworks and interactive prototypes to clearly communicate the new design vision and support cross-team decision-making. I also led weekly syncs between the US and Hong Kong teams and partnered closely with Engineering to build and deliver high-quality, consumer-facing experiences.

The themed offering and themed finder pages provide guests with key information about dining, shopping, attractions, hotels, and more—helping them plan their visit before arriving at the parks.
Accessibility
One of the most important principles at Disney is ensuring that every design is accessibility-checked. Our guests include people with a wide range of disabilities, and it’s essential that our experiences are inclusive.
Teams behind HKDL's 20th Anniversary Celebration
This year marks a major milestone for Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) as it celebrates its 20th anniversary with a yearlong party that features a spectacular lineup of new entertainment, community initiatives, and a bold vision for the future. Since opening its gates in 2005, HKDL has become a beloved destination for Disney fans across Asia and beyond.
To commemorate two decades of storytelling and innovation, HKDL has launched its most ambitious entertainment slate to date.

As of June 27, all HKDL 20th Anniversary components supported by the US teams had successfully gone live in production.
